Oh, look!
Splendid landscape,
Crisp and bright days
Amidst calls by a mad tyranny
Fighting a lost cause.

Senseless wars and needless loss…and yet it is making economic or political sense to a bunch of people or it wouldn’t continue like this endlessly, everywhere.
True that!
Perspective – seeing beyond the borders – yearning for others to care that it doesn’t have to be this way – (thoughts of the perched bird as relayed to me!)

Exactly! *Hugs*
Despite all the beauty and brightness, humans just can’t seem to stop acting like tyrants. A sobering thought, my friend.
Isn’t that just downright sad!
It’s insane.
This made me recall days that seemed so impossibly beautiful on the surface (gorgeous sky, everything looks glowing and vibrant) yet some awful human disaster managed to steal all my attention.
Our modern society seems to be living in the duality of good and evil. But I guess that’s life, isn’t it!
WOW, what a brave seagull. It certainly speaks about this creature’s vision of watching the madness swirling below as it is perched high on what seems like a scary, but safe place. It makes me think that separating yourself from the tyranny of ignorance, is a little scary initially, but very liberating for the soul. Love your poem Khaya! 🥰💖🤗
Thank you Kym for your insightful observation. You brought another meaning “tyranny of ignorance” I didn’t think about. So much can be said about that.
Oh my friend, your message brings a myriad of meanings and emotions…highs and lows. Great share Khaya! 🤗👏🏼😊
Intriguing… and cheerfully eerie, too.
It is an interesting eerie season…
So many impacts with so few words. So many images in just a couple lines. You execute it well, per usual.
