I want to capture Spring but I can’t…I can’t
For it blooms reckless and thaws frozen fears
So, I let love define all seasons
Sunny Greetings, Fellow Bloggers!
You’ve probably heard of short Nordic summers. But did you know that spring is even shorter? It came late this year, and is now disappearing faster that I can finish writing the sentence. The last time I checked we were in the depths of winter, and now there’s already talk about summer with high temperatures (28℃) I’ve never witnessed during a Finnish summer, before.
What kind of talk! When I’m still resurfacing like a crocus buried under a pile of debris. So, it seems (as usual) that I grab spring by its tail. But I hope you’ve been revitalized by the bloom and beauty of the season.
On other news, I’ve been working hard on my debut poetry chapbook. I promise to deliver it to you soon. Stay tuned, and don’t forget to subscribe to my blog for latest developments!
Khaya, the seasons seem to be all mixed up this year! Enjoy the crazy warmth – and do send some here. Far too cold for May … the few days of warmth were a tease alas! I fear at this rate Spring will go straight into Autumn! I can’t wait to hear more about your poetry chapbook … best of luck! xx
Oooo…. I see a verse to grace that chapbook opening!
Hi Annika! Good to see you around. Yes, seasons are all mixed up this year. But I’m certainly not complaining, it’s nice to have warm weather for a change. 🙂
And thank you for well wishes…xx
Oooo…thanks KC. I see you read minds as well. 😀
Beautiful opening. Let love define the seasons. I shared your link on Pay It Forward Thursday.

Oh wow, Jackie! I’m humbled by generosity and kindness. Thank you, thank you so much. 🙂
I’ve actually been thinking about you regarding correspondence you sent me sometime ago. I’m not even going to mention how many years ago was that :), anyway I’ll drop you an e-mail soon!

P.S. I’m really excited about your book.
Strange times, I say! 🙂
Thanks so much, Maga. Much appreciated!
Lovely to hear from you, Khaya. I’m glad spring made it your way, even if short-lived. 🙂 Good luck on your book!
Thank you, my dear friend. I need luck more than ever before. 🙂
The weather has been crazy this year!! I transplanted 3 plants yesterday and it’s cold again! LOL! But, you are so right Khaya, it’s all about the love! Gorgeous photo!! I am so happy for you in everything you are accomplishing!! Big Hugs!
Hi dear, Stacy!
Good to see you back. 🙂 And yes, isn’t the weather just crazy! We’re having a full-blown summer here.
Many thanks my friend for your continued support. I appreciate. Big Hugs!
I think no matter what part of the world we live the weather can sometimes be incredibly mixed!
Love the picture of the flowers.
All the best Jan
