Weaving stories to inspire & connect 🇿🇦🇫🇮🌍

The point of a book fair is, in part, to foster re The point of a book fair is, in part, to foster relationships between writers and readers. I’m grateful for every meaningful connection I made.

And, it’s always inspiring to meet the minds behind the stories. A few authors whose books I’m currently reading or looking forward to their release in 2026 are:

1. Somewhere Soft to Land by kai alonté (Naakai Addy), will be released April 2026. 🙌🏾

2. Grunga by Mirva Haltia @muuttujalindu ...currently reading! 💜

3. Karppi kaupassa -kalarunokirja by Sanna Vainikainen. Not only is it a wonderful gift for kids, but I bet adults also can learn a thing or two! 😘

4. A Brief History of a Long War: Ukraine's Fight Against Russian Domination by  Mariam Naiem @mariaaamnaiem will be released in January 2026.🙏🏾

**Sanna & Mariam, both in the group photo. I hope you check out these books!

Thanks to my community of writers at FALA: @wendeluvinga @sundaympanduji @hyttilaura @hopen010 @kwamewrite and many more. ✍🏾📚

To Sarah @laarucigbire and the whole team @finnishafricansociety every writer needs a literary guardian. 🙌🏾

Many thanks to all the key players, especially Ville Blåfield and others, who open doors to opportunities! 🙏🏾

A HUGE thank you to all readers, who bought my books and continue to support my work. ❤️

OK, folks, this is the LAST entry in this series. A blog post detailing my thoughts on the book fair will be available this Sunday. Link in the bio, always!
