A Perspective From Within

Tent is a rain magnet. Clouds in motion gather, forming a cascade that drenches everything beneath the sky. Real beauty lies not in the rainbow after the transient flood, but in quiet moments between the downpour. For you realise the world doesn’t care if you live or die. Indifferent, Mother Nature shrugs her shoulders, as if to say, “It’s just another day. Get out there and dance!”

Tent beckons rain’s call
Moments of clarity arise,
Nature’s indifferent stance.

  1. Thank you for bringing beautiful inspiration to my morning, Khaya. 🌄 I noticed you have three books – where should I start?

  2. Yes girl, Mother Nature is right, so get out there and DANCE!!! 💃🏻🎶💃🏻🎶 So inspirational sistah girlfriend.

  3. It’s always a pleasure, Michele. 🙂 Thank you for reading. And about where should you start, each collection is a stand-alone and can be ready in any order. But reading also depends on your mood, i.e. what you have the bandwidth to read.

That said, here are brief notes to help you choose: Seasons Defined (chapbook) is nature poetry, From the Depths of Darkness (chapbook) is dark poetry and The Sheltering (full-length collection inspired by the pandemic and political anxieties) explores themes of family, friendship, loss, grief and healing. I hope this helps. Thanks so much for your interest!

  4. Thank you so much for the detailed reader preview and explanation. Will save comment and take a deeper look, then go from there. Kind regards. 🌞

  5. Yes honey, cheers to escaping the comfort zone! We can always count on Mother Nature to make us reflect from within, elevating us to new heights. Love it my sistah queen! Hugs and smooches. 🤗💖😘
