  1. A breathtaking poem, Khaya! ❤️ I love the idea of “six hundred roses pledge promise without words,” 🙂 roses are my favorite and I feel their scent is incomparable. Thank you so much for writing to the prompt! ❤️

  2. Nature adored by its many varieties and scents. I had to grow to love the smell of roses. For me it’s lilacs, their scent is the promise of the warmth to come.

  3. So beautiful! I use rose water on my hair and just adore that scent!

  4. Love it Love the six hundred roses and lovers’ memories secured. For sure!

  5. Roses are certainly tantalizingly beautiful aren’t they? We only had about six rose bushes, 600 sounds like hard work!

  6. A wonderful image, Khaya, six hundred roses condensed into a bottle. L’Occitane does a rose perfume like that.

  7. When I was a girl, there was a rose perfume at Victoria’s Secret I could not get enough of. I was so happy when I saved up enough money to buy it. I’ve loved other perfumes since then, being something of a scent junkie, but I’ll always be fond of that rose.

  8. Ooh, love this! Such a beautifully written poem for one of my favorite flowers. Especially adore the “promise without words” line!

  9. I can relate, my friends and I were giddy with Victoria’s Secret during our student days. Could be the same era as yours. 😅 Nowadays my favourites are subtle but still with a touch of Rose.

  10. Distillation does magical things, does it not? 😉
