Being deliberate, slow and intentional, is my simple plan for the year. As I was meditating on my word, I had to reflect on all that was 2020. All I can say, I ...

Hiking is my faith, and I'm its devotee. 💫poetry | nature | books 🇿🇦🇫🇮

REFLECTION: I remember this time last year, the st REFLECTION: I remember this time last year, the start of the lockdown, self-quarantine and all words related to Covid-19 we had to make sense of. Perhaps like most, the reality of the pandemic eventually sunk in. But perhaps unlike most writers, I struggled to put into words what was happening around me. 😶😱😷

Then I came across this quote by Nora Roberts...

"No matter how chaotic it is, wildflowers will still spring up in the middle of nowhere."

Months later, I was finally able to pick pen and paper, and write.✍🏽✍🏽✍🏽

Liverwort as one of the first to bloom here in spring, has come to signify hope, for me. So, to my friends and acquaintances around the world, who still feel this pandemic acutely, I give you the liverwort! Keep faith, this too shall pass.❤️

ABOUT MUSES: Northern Lapwing has its own sort of ABOUT MUSES: Northern Lapwing has its own sort of elegance. And its calls during breeding seasons are certainly emphatic and demand attention. But I wouldn't go as far as to say it inspires me to write... anything...not just yet.

Nonetheless, it's lovely to watch these birds bask in the sun as the snow slowly melts beneath their feet.😊

Have a wonderful Sunday, everyone!🌼😘

THE GRACEFUL SWAN: This bird is my second muse, wi THE GRACEFUL SWAN: This bird is my second muse, with red-throated loon in the first place. I mean I don't ever get tired writing about a swan. 🦢✍🏽 And now that they are back, I'm courting them like a stalker. Perhaps, I'll come back from after life as a swan.😅

And just because I can, I'm reposting this micropoem...

Do not dismiss for a fragile beauty
Do not be fooled by my grace and pose
Deep down, I hunger for love
