In Full Sway

Two at the back
One at the front
In full sway;
Spring a season
For graduations.

Note: Poem was inspired by the Midweek Motif, “bicycles, tricycles or unicycles” at Poets United. I’m also linking it to the Tuesday Platform at Imaginary Garden with Real Toads.

  1. “Full” and “Sway” clarify the humor of your poem, along with the illustration.

  2. Luckily that void of inanity between youth and adulthood is normally quite short…for most; the rest become politicians.

  3. What a nice looking bicycle to end up in the lake! Makes me wonder what happened that made it end up there. Makes me think.

  4. Hi Bekkie! We live next to a university, and a sight of abandoned bicycles is rather common at this time of the year. Lots of celebrations underway with end of year term, celebrations and a prelude to our short but vibrant summer here. 🙂

  5. Spring is a season for graduations in Finland if i recall right.
